I thought it was high time I had a giveaway on my blog and it's very simple to enter. There are two simple ways to qualify.
If you are already a follower of my blog, all you need to do is leave me a comment.
If you are not already a follower, then join as a follower and leave me a comment.
If you really want to go for the jackpot and get a second entry, refer a friend to my site and get them to join as a follower and that will get you another entry in the giveaway (you will need to let me know who the friend is).
The giveaway prize is one of my cute scarves, there are 4 in the store to choose from. So get to it. Entries will close on Sunday the 11th of July. I will announce the winner and post off the scarf of their choice once they have let me know which one they want.

LITTLE SHOES FOR LITTLE PEOPLE
They're done - another tick on my list of things I want to do. I have to say I am actually pretty happy with the end result. A bit of Japanese floral would be the way to go here next time I am thinking. This pattern is from Homespun - thanks so much for sharing this. They are now available to purchase in my Madeit shop.
I don't want to sell this one!!

Christmas in June
It must be the cold weather but I am starting to think about Christmas. Maybe it's because this year I would like to try and do lots of special crafty things and I am trying to be organised so it doesn't fly by yet again.
I really like this paper wreath, there is a great tutorial here at the red thread.
If anyone gets around to making one, please send me a photo, I will post them on my blog.
Also an advent calendar would be great, this is a nice one, looks quite simple too. Send me your pics.

FLY BUTTERFLY
Butterflies, you've got to love them, unless of course you are my son at age 4 who was scared of them. This skirt is made from a gorgeous black and white fabric featuring butterflies and a lovely floral pattern. It holds the record for my fastest sale ever. It was in the shop probably for a mere 60 minutes at the most - snapped up by my best customer Vanessa. It's on its way to Perth as we speak, hope she loves it as much as me.
I'm off to watch the origin - go Queenslanders!!!!!!!!

Versace returns Plus The Book Depository
VERSACE returns to eva mei & me on Madeit.com. I have another of my lovely Versace and Corduroy skirts for sale. Thought I would add a picture in here too. IT is one of my alltime favourite eva mei & me creations. Don't think mine is in the same league as the one Miss Lopez is wearing though !!!! Never mind, it costs nowhere near as much either.

Book Depository Purchase
I was excited recently to receive my first delivery from the Book Depository in the UK - thought I would share my goods with you. There are these great books called Doodle Books - for boys and girls - they are great as gifts for kids who love to draw.
I bought 3 of them - Lucy absolutely loves them. Oliver has one but I could not find his at the time of photographing. They are $15 and postage is FREE.
I have added a couple of photos above of some of the pages Lucy has done. They are real keepsakes these books, a great record of your childrens artwork.
Enjoy the rest of your long weekend. Long Live the QUEEN !!!!!!!!

Latest photo shoot and a BOX OF CHOCOLATES
I was desperate to photograph some of my new THINGS for my shop today, and also re-photograph some of my older items as I have made new headbands to match some of my skirts and scarves etc. So I grabbed my gorgeous Lucy this afternoon and a pile of clothes and headed outside to my favourite location. We even used some of the lovely hairclips I purchased from here , a great little shop on Madeit.com.au. I can highly recommend them for some HAIR BLING GORGEOUSNESS !!!!! For all you ladies who have little girls, jump on to madeit and look up http://madeit.com.au/theclipcafe/ you will not be disappointed.
I came home yesterday after a whole day out at the shops to find a lovely little parcel in the mailbox waiting for me. I couldn't believe it, I never get presents. Anyway, my craft buddy Jacki had recently bought two pairs of chenille pants for her kids to take away on a beach holiday and this was how she thanked me for it. It was really not necessary but it was oh so nice, a lovely surprise and a lovely gesture. Sometimes just those little things can really go a long way.
My shopping trip was successful too, I managed to get a few new tops to take away to malaysia/singapore next month. A great day !!!!

Here one minute and Gone the Next !!!!
Well, I have to say I had the quickest sale in history today. I made a skirt (pictured below) from a lovely mustard coloured corduroy and trimmed it with a very special Gianni Versace charcoal and black fabric. The Versace fabric was given to me by my dear friend Ming Lee quite some time ago. I have to add that when she gave it to me she did not actually realise it was a "Gianni Versace Made in Italy Fabric". I mean, really , who gives away Versace, HELLOOOOO!!!!! are you mad !!!!!!! No. She is just really very kind and sweet. Anyway, I photographed the finished skirt at midnight last night and put it up for sale in my shop for $29 - I think this is the most expensive thing I have ever had for sale so far. Today I took it to my friend Yvettes house to show her, she does a lot of my photography for me, anyway her sister was visiting from Maryborough and took one look at it and bought it, just like that, thank god I had already photographed it as it is now heading for Maryborough for her lucky little daughter. So here it is............

Winter has ARRIVED !!!
Aaaaahhhh it's winter - I never thought I would say that with such a note of happiness in my voice. As I age I am starting to welcome winter more and more. And with winter comes a change of fashion so I am pulling out the fleece and corduroy and having lots of fun with it. Right in the middle of winter we are heading off to Malaysia for 3 weeks. I have made a great little travel dress for Lucy in lightweight t-shirt material (needs no ironing which is just perfect).
Below is a new style winter dress in a beautiful red fleece - goes great with my new scarves I have in the shop at present. Will work really well with a skivvy underneath and tights. (see pics below)
I also finished Lucys groovy green pants, they are a kind of Kylie Minogue knickerbocker style with rouching down the side of each leg. Just photographed them for the blog but can't seem to get the colour to reproduce accurately, they are a lot more vibrant than the picture shows (below). Anyway, hope you enjoy. cheers, k.
