Softie Swap interview

Amy & Olivander
Vanessa over at the Clip Cafe Blog has been working hard posting interviews with the people who participated in her recent softie swap. It was my first swap ever, and it was so nice to receive this most gorgeous doll in the mail from my swap partner Allie - check out her blog here. I have called her Amy. I sent Allie an owl, she named him Olivander. My interview is now up on Vanessas blog, over here - follow this link Pop on over and have a read, you may find something out about me that you don't already know. And whilst you are there you can check out Vanessas photography and crafty work and Allies blog too. They are fabulous blogs, ones which I check almost daily.
Only 8 sleeps til christmas, are you ready ???

My Softie Swap has arrived and she needs a name

My first ever softie swap, co-ordinated by the Clip Cafe, is now complete. I have received my beautiful doll from Allie - and I have now posted my softie off to her - of course I cannot say what it is as she has not received it yet. I have to say I am nervously awaiting her response - as I feel my softie is a bit of a let down in comparison to this beautiful doll she has sewn for me. Receiving a doll like this for my very own makes me feel like a little girl again and now I just need to find her a name. If anyone has any good suggestions, please leave me a comment.
Next week I will post pics of the softie I created for Allie - stay tuned !

Another Giveaway !!!

There is another giveaway happening at present that you should definitely check out, head over to the clip cafe and see what Vanessa is up to. She does gorgeous hair clips, hairclip holders and headbands etc for the gorgeous little and big girls in your life and she is having a great giveaway. I bought some clips for Lucy and a hairclip holder, it's the best thing as now we don't have clips ALL OVER THE HOUSE ! - The hairclip holder hangs neatly on the door handle - just perfect. I also bought a clip holder and some clips for my junior model, Juliana, for her recent birthday. Great gifts for all those birthday parties your kids get invited to. Oops have to go, my husband has just baked Loukomades (greek doughnuts with walnuts and honey oozing all over them) and he is calling us to come eat - how lucky am I. Postscript: The Loukomades were great, thanks to Angela for her help with the recipe by phone !!!!!

Latest photo shoot and a BOX OF CHOCOLATES

I was desperate to photograph some of my new THINGS for my shop today, and also re-photograph some of my older items as I have made new headbands to match some of my skirts and scarves etc. So I grabbed my gorgeous Lucy this afternoon and a pile of clothes and headed outside to my favourite location. We even used some of the lovely hairclips I purchased from here , a great little shop on Madeit.com.au. I can highly recommend them for some HAIR BLING GORGEOUSNESS !!!!! For all you ladies who have little girls, jump on to madeit and look up http://madeit.com.au/theclipcafe/ you will not be disappointed. I came home yesterday after a whole day out at the shops to find a lovely little parcel in the mailbox waiting for me. I couldn't believe it, I never get presents. Anyway, my craft buddy Jacki had recently bought two pairs of chenille pants for her kids to take away on a beach holiday and this was how she thanked me for it. It was really not necessary but it was oh so nice, a lovely surprise and a lovely gesture. Sometimes just those little things can really go a long way. My shopping trip was successful too, I managed to get a few new tops to take away to malaysia/singapore next month. A great day !!!!
