Today I am off to buy some chickens......................
It's only taken two or more years for me to convince my husband that I just have to have chooks in the backyard and that "it's a great idea"

The kids are very excited. So am I.
We will probably buy three Isa Browns - see picture on the left. They are pretty compared to plain old white chooks.
We have been trying to think of names. I have come up with Laverne and Shirley - my husband came up with nugget or lunch or dinner, typical !!!!!!!!
Mst O wants to call his Lewie of Hewey, Dewey and Lewey.
Miss L wants to call hers Sapphire, such a pretty name for a chicken don't you think.
Here is a photo taken of us erecting the chicken house last weekend with the help of our neighbours.

So now I am counting down the hours until we get to go to the farm and select our ladies, and hopefully only a week or two until we have our very own free range eggs from happy hens. Will post pics soon of the new arrivals.
